Rashad Al-Alimi, the leader of Yemen’s Presidential Leadership Council, arrived in Abu Dhabi on Friday for a multi-day official visit.
Al-Alimi will hold official talks with the Emirati leadership about strengthening and deepening bilateral relations in the political, economic, security, and military spheres.
According to the Yemeni News Agency, Al-Alimi will also discuss reconstruction and rallying political and development support for Yemen as it deals with the fallout from the war sparked by the Iranian-backed Houthi group (SABA).
He also lauded the Emirati government’s political, military, and humanitarian assistance to Yemen in recent years.
Al-Alimi landed in Abu Dhabi from Jeddah, where he was met by King Salman at Al-Salam Palace on Wednesday.
Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman also attended the gathering.
