Ukrainian president says missiles struck Kyiv while UN chief was visiting

Ukrainian authorities have censured Russia’s rocket assault on Kyiv Thursday night, which happened as the UN Chief General Antonio Guterres was completing a visit to the Ukrainian capital.

President Volodymyr Zelensky, in his day to day video message, said that “Today, following the finish of our discussions [with Guterres] in Kyiv, Russian rockets flew into the city. 5 rockets. “On April 28, at 8:13 p.m., the State Emergency Service in Kyiv received a report of a fire in the Shevchenkivskyi district of the capital. As a result of enemy shelling, a fire broke out in a 25-storey residential building with partial destruction of the 1st and 2nd floors.
