According to the UK Foreign Office, one British national was slain and another is missing in Ukraine.
According to sources in Ukraine, the dead man is Scott Sibley, who is said to have been fighting alongside Ukrainian forces.
He is the first British national to be declared dead in the battle; he has been characterised as a “friend like no other.” Neither person’s identify has been revealed by the Foreign Office. However, a representative said the company was helping both families. The cause of Mr Sibley’s death, as well as how or when the second individual went missing, are unknown.
