Shell tightens restrictions

After an uproar over buying a Russian crude shipment in the days following Moscow’s invasion of Ukraine; Shell announced last month that it will phase out buying Russian crude and all Russian hydrocarbons, from oil to natural gas.

Based on stipulations in its trading contracts, the world’s largest oil dealer continues to accept Russian supplies with less than 50% gasoline. However, it said on Wednesday that it would no longer accept Russian products of this nature.
