On Tuesday, Vice President Kamala Harris tested positive for COVID-19, making her the latest White House official to do so.

According to Kirsten Allen, the vice president’s press secretary, Harris hasn’t shown any symptoms and hasn’t had much interaction with President Joe Biden or first wife Jill Biden.
“She has shown no symptoms,” Allen said in a statement. “She will isolate and continue to work from the vice president’s house.” “She will follow the CDC’s instructions as well as the advise of her doctors.”
When Harris’ test results come back negative, Allen says she’ll return to the White House. Harris has been completely immunised and given a booster shot.
Harris, 57, drove to California late last week and stayed there over the weekend.
Harris talked about maternal health at the University of California, San Francisco Mission Bay’s William J. Rutter Center on Thursday. On Thursday evening, she left for Los Angeles. She spent the weekend in Los Angeles, where she had no public appearances. On Monday, the vice president returned to Washington.
The White House Easter Egg Roll on the South Lawn was Harris’ last public appearance with Biden on April 18.
She was supposed to be in the White House on Tuesday to join Biden for the president’s daily briefing at 10:15 a.m., as per the president’s schedule.
