Russian troops are pursuing full control of the Donetsk and Luhansk regions in the Eastern Operational Zone. According to Ukrinform, the General Staff of Ukraine’s Armed Forces stated this in a situation report dated April 26 at 06:00.
According to the report, the enemy is conducting assault operations in the Eastern Operational Zone in order to defeat Ukrainian Joint Forces, retake full control of the Donetsk and Luhansk regions, and construct a land corridor between the Donbas and occupied Crimea.
The enemy has intensified the protection of the Russian border and checkpoints in the close-to-Ukraine districts of Bryansk, Kursk, and Belgorod. Invaders from Russia have boosted their anti-sabotage efforts along the border.
The enemy is bolstering its military formation near Kharkiv, continuing to partially block the city and shooting on Ukrainian defences and crucial infrastructure.
The invaders are attempting to make their way towards Zavody. Fighting is still going on.
The Russian enemy is relocating command and control points closer to the front lines of action in the Donetsk and Tavriya directions.
Along the whole line of contact, the enemy fires mortars, artillery, and multiple rocket launchers towards Ukrainian positions. The enemy is fighting in the Rubizhne village area in the Sievierodonetsk sector. The enemy is attempting to conquer Popasna in the Popasna area, and battles are ongoing. The enemy tries to execute offensive operations in the Avdiivka area.
