When a Judges Contest on American Idol’s April 25 show brought up Katy Perry’s prior connection with John Mayer, she had no choice but to hide her embarrassment under the desk.
The show’s judges, Perry, Lionel Richie, and Luke Bryan, picked songs for the Top 11 candidates to perform on the big stage in the most recent episode, and the performer had to guess who of the three judges recommended the song after the performances.
Noah Thompson, a country singer, lit up the stage with his interpretation of Mayer’s Heartbreak Warfare, which Bryan chose.
Thompson, on the other hand, believed it was the crooner’s ex-girlfriend who suggested it.
