After foiling a plot to kill a TV anchor on instructions from Ukraine, Moscow says it has detained members of a ‘neo-Nazi terrorist’ cell.

The Federal Security Service (FSB) of Russia, according to Russian President Vladimir Putin, foiled a “terrorist group’s” assassination attempt on Russian TV journalist Vladimir Solovyev on Monday.
“They have resorted to terror – they are arranging the murder of our journalists,” Putin said of the West on Monday, without elaborating.
On instructions from Ukraine, the FSB apprehended members of a “neo-Nazi terrorist” gang who were planning to murder the pro-Kremlin TV host.
“The Russian Federation’s Investigative Committee apprehended a number of members of the outlawed neo-Nazi terrorist organisation National Socialism/White Power,” the agency said in a statement reported by news outlets.
According to the FSB, a gang of six Russians was preparing the “death” of Russian TV and radio journalist Solovyev “on the orders of Ukraine’s Security Service.”
The trio “admitted to arranging the murder of Solovyev, following which they intended to flee overseas,” according to the report.
Ukraine’s State Security Service (SBU) announced Monday on the Telegram messaging app that it “had no intentions to murder V. Solovyev.”
