Student loan debt in the US exceeds $1.7 trillion.

The majority of people polled by Harvard, i.e. 38 percent support the cancellation of all student debt.

Around a quarter favor government assistance with repayment alternatives.

A fourth feel debt forgiveness for those in the most need is the best course of action.

Only 13% students believe that the system doesn’t require any alteration.
