Nawaz Sharif has been issued passport

Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) Supremo Nawaz Sharif has been issued a passport.

The passport has been released to Nawaz Sharif on a priority basis. Sources said that Nawaz Sharif could land in Pakistan at any time.

As per details, the Interior Ministry issued a new passport to Nawaz Sharif.

According to the Immigration and Passport Department of Interior Ministry, an ordinary passport with validity for 10 years was issued to Nawaz Sharif. He had applied for the new one after expiry of his old passport. It was made in the “urgent” category.

Nawaz Sharif was allowed to proceed to London for four weeks on November 19, 2019 as a “one-time permission” by the Lahore High Court.

Earlier, Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif had ordered the issuance of a diplomatic passport to his elder brother and former prime minister Nawaz Sharif and an ordinary passport to former finance minister Ishaq Dar.

According to a media report, High Commission of Pakistan in London has immediately been ordered to issue the passports to both personalities.

The High Commission personnel informed the authorities concerned that Ishaq Dar could not be issued a diplomatic passport.

Prime Minister Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif on Tuesday was given guard of honour at the Prime Minister House as he assumed the responsibilities of his office.

PM Shehbaz Sharif reviewed the guard of honour as the contingents of the armed forces presented salute to him.

The prime minister was introduced to the officials and staff of the PM House.

Shehbaz Sharif was sworn-in as the country’s 23rd prime minister a day earlier after he won a no-confidence vote from the National Assembly against his predecessor Imran Khan. Acting President and Chairman Senate Muhammad Sadiq Sanjrani had administered the oath.
