BRIGITTE Macron has spoken out following her husband Emmanuel Macron’s re-election, describing the occasion as “such a great honour.”

Brigitte Macron addressed the crowds and said: “France is the most beautiful country in the world, the problem is that we don’t always know it.” Speaking on France 2 she expressed “an immense emotion and a great honour”. Mr. Macron met his supporters on the Champ de Mars more than an hour after the official announcement of his victory, to celebrate with his wife.

Additionally, she stated: “It’s an incredible honour that I hope to be deserving of.

“We all want things to change.

“I know that we can do it and I know we are extraordinary.

“I have lived through his five years of work and I know where he wants to go.

“I have immense confidence in him.”

Mrs. Macron was physically affectionate, hugging and kissing her husband.
