The Daily Star stated that Prince Harry and Meghan Markle’s neighbours in California disagree with them over Harry’s recent remarks in which he declared they’ve been ‘welcomed with open arms’ to the US.
After stepping down as senior royals in the United Kingdom in 2020, Meghan and Harry moved to Montecito, California, with their two children, Archie and Lilibet.
Harry recently told NBC News’ Hoda Kotb that the United States had become his “home.” “We’ve been welcomed with open arms, and we have such a lovely community up in Santa Barbara,” he added.
According to Richard Mineards of the Montecito Journal, Prince Harry’s allegation could not be further from the truth.
Mineards said: “Harry and Meghan haven’t become part of the community and I think a lot of people are bristling about that really.”
He added: “It’s such a lovely place to go out and they’ve been a no show. There is this big question of, ‘Where are they?’”
Both Prince Harry and Meghan are yet to comment on Mineard’s claims.
