Imran Khan trying to make ECP controversial: Ahsan Iqbal

ISLAMABAD: Minister for Planning and Development Ahsan Iqbal said that Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf Chairman Imran Khan is attempting to make the Pakistan Election Commission contentious in order to avoid a foreign funding investigation.

He told a private news channel that despite ruling the country for more than three years, Imran Khan was unable to properly handle foreign affairs.

Imran Khan, according to Ahsan Iqbal, has put the country in risk throughout his reign.

In response to a question on PTI leader Imran Khan’s proposal for a protracted march to Islamabad, he claimed Imran Khan is merely striving for personal gain.

According to the minister, there is no harm in protesting or holding a public assembly, but no one will be allowed to break the law.

Earlier, Ahsan Iqbal established a new democratic tradition by inviting his predecessor Asad Umar to a farewell meeting.
