Ukraine has warned Moscow that ‘parallel’ evacuation routes from Mariupol to Russia are in operation

Ukraine announced on Saturday that there were humanitarian evacuation corridors opened in Mariupol.

It warned about Moscow trying to run parallel routes headed for Russia.

Deputy Prime Minister Iryna Vereschuk warned on Facebook, “Just received information that the occupiers may try to organize their corridor in parallel with us for evacuation to Russia.”

Adding that people should be careful, and not surrender to any kind of deception or provocation.

Vereschuk has been striving to secure an evacuation route from the besieged city, Mariupol.

Yet, Russian troops are not giving up any soon in failing her attempts.

Recently, Russian President, Putin, claimed victory over Mariupol.

Despite the fact that tens of thousands of people and resistance fighters have taken refuge beneath the city’s Azovstal steel complex.

Forces have sought to flush out the combatants holed up deep in the plant’s tunnels by claiming they will let them live if they surrender peacefully.

However, Vereschuk slammed Russian allegations that a separate evacuation route for residents trapped in the war-torn city was unnecessary.

According to Ukrainian officials, Russia is planning to write a referendum to take over parts of southern Ukraine.

They say, it is forcefully enlisting Ukrainian men in the region to “replace” its troop losses.
