Putin’s embarrassment as spy drones reveal enormous ‘tank graveyard’

UKRAINIAN spy drones have discovered a vast site of Russian tanks that have been abandoned.

Flights conducted by a Ukrainian intelligence team confirmed the dump of dozens of pieces of broken military hardware in a field. On February 24, there were no vehicles at the Golovchino settlement site, and barely a handful on March 17.

On a transmission from a Leleka drone, the Ukrainian intelligence team detected 57 military vehicles, including at least 17 tanks.

In Golovchino, the tanks pictured appeared to be T-72s and more recent T-90s.

Additionally, there were at least seven self-propelled artillery weapons, including MSTA mobile howitzers and the smaller 2S3 Akatsiya cannons, as well as mechanized bridges, armored combat vehicles, and two tank recovery vehicles.

Many of the tanks at the “graveyard” are believed to have come from the Sumy region, following Vladimir Putin’s late March order to retreat and refocus on Ukraine’s far east.

The cargo had been dragged to the site for repair and abandoned, according to a team commander named “Ranger” who joined the intelligence unit.

He said: “All the Russian vehicles that come to Ukraine will end up in a place like this.

“It is a tank graveyard. A cemetery.”

A Ukrainian intelligence source said: “The fact these tanks have been left behind in Golovchino tells us they are no use to Russia.”
