BORIS JOHNSON may face a no-confidence vote in the House of Commons as a result of his role in party game. If the Prime Minister is defeated, in his absence, who would you trust to deliver on Brexit?
Boris Johnson is facing public backlash and reprimand from his own party for violating lockdown guidelines by attending a party in Downing Street during the height of the lockdown.
His tenure has been nothing short of turbulent, having won a landslide majority in 219 on the strength of the public’s desire to “Get Brexit Done.”
Only three years later, he may face a no-confidence vote from his own party as a result of a fixed penalty notice received last week from the Metropolitan Police.
Despite the outcry, the Prime Minister has repeatedly refused to resign, and Government ministers have openly backed him to stay in the post, promising to continue delivering the best Brexit for Britain.
Members of his cabinet have been commended for their Brexit credentials, particularly Liz Truss’ savvy handling of trade treaties and Priti Patel’s crackdown on illegal immigration.
However, an overwhelming majority of Express readers believe he has delivered a Brexit in name only, with 89 percent of 3,310 respondents believing the Prime Minister is not doing enough to ensure a prosperous post-EU Britain.
If Mr. Johnson were to resign, who would you want to take his place and continue delivering the Brexit that the Conservatives promised?
