RUSSIAN tanks have been bombed and abandoned in eastern Donetsk Oblast, the footage shows, as Ukrainian forces battle to repel Putin’s renewed assault.

Russian tanks advancing in the Donbas region have been filmed being struck by missiles launched by Ukraine’s 54th Mechanized Brigade. As the tanks advance in column formation, an explosion occurs above the leading vehicles, erupting in a massive plume of smoke.
Russian tanks grind to a halt as the Ukrainian Ground Force division bombards the area, punching bomb holes into the ground near the tanks.
Later footage reveals the vehicles immobile and abandoned as soldiers flee the devastation.
Some of the tanks, still smoking from missile strikes, are surrounded by holes in the ground caused by additional bombs.
The person filming then approaches one of the tanks up close, with the letter Z, now universally associated with the Russian invasion, boldly drawn on the tank’s turret.
The 54th Mechanized Brigade was established in 2014 as part of Operation Command East in Ukraine.
It is headquartered in Bakhmut, a city in eastern Ukraine approximately 200 kilometers north of the besieged Mariupol port city.
In its second attempt at invading the country, Russian forces have been attempting to drive out the remaining Ukrainian forces from Mariupol and the surrounding areas.
This comes as Western officials asserted that Russia remains “in a position to win” the Ukraine conflict.
