Amber Heard’s lawyers cross-examined Johnny Depp in a defamation claim

As the Aquaman actor’s lawyers cross-examined the Pirates of the Caribbean star in a Virginia courtroom on Thursday, Johnny Depp persisted on being assaulted by his ex-wife Amber Heard.

According to details, Depp denied ever physically or sexually abusing Heard, claiming that it was Heard who attacked him violently.

Depp also claimed that a 2018 op-ed piece she penned in The Washington Post referring to herself as a “public figure symbolizing domestic abuse” had harmed his career.

According to Depp, the piece unfairly tarnished his Hollywood reputation, costing him the role of Captain Jack Sparrow in Pirates of the Caribbean.

Disney reached the decision months before the article was released, according to J. Benjamin Rottenborn, Heard’s lawyer.

“Heard’s lawyers claim that Heard’s opinion piece was factually correct and did not disparage him.” According to The Independent, “Depp’s shattered reputation was owing to his own terrible behaviour.”
