Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif and the chief of Jamiat Ulema-e-Islam Maulana Fazlur Rehman met in Islamabad on Thursday and discussed the overall political situation in the country.

The meeting was joined by federal ministers Rana Sanullah and Khwaja Saad Rafique.
Maulana Fazlur Rehman expressed concern over the economic indicators presented during the government’s first cabinet meeting, the PM Office said.
He welcomed the government’s commitment to steer the country out of current challenges to ensure a journey of progress and development.
Earlier on Wednesday, Former president and Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) co-chairman Asif Ali Zardari and Pakistan Muslim League-Quaid (PML-Q) chief Chaudhry Shujaat Hussain discussed the current political situation in a meeting held at the later house on Wednesday.
Both the leaders agreed to expand the political tolerance and resolve the matters in a peaceful manner. “Whatever happened in Punjab Assembly, we could have easily avoided it,” Zardari was quoted as saying in the meeting.

Earlier this week, Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) co-chairman Asif Ali Zardari said that they wanted Pakistan Muslim League Quaid (PML-Q) back in the political sphere.
