Trump exits explosive Piers Morgan interview after 2020 election question

Former President Donald Trump attacked Piers Morgan as “very dishonest” as he walked out of an interview with the television host and Post columnist following questions about his allegation that he lost the 2020 presidential election due to voter fraud.

According to a video of the sit-down, the 45th president became more agitated with Morgan’s questions, at one point labeling him a “fool.”

“I think I’m a very honest man … much more honest than you, actually,” Trump said at one point.

“Really?” Morgan asked.

“Yeah,” Trump responded.

Morgan previously informed Trump that the 2020 election was “a free and fair election.” You lost.”

“Only a fool would think that,” Trump shot back.

“You think I’m a fool?” Morgan countered.

“I do now, yeah,” Trump responded.

Trump has claimed nearly continuously since Electoral Night 2020 that efforts to extend mail-in voting in response to the COVID-19 pandemic hid election fraud committed by Democrats and their surrogates in crucial swing states such as Arizona, Georgia, and Pennsylvania.

“With respect, you haven’t produced the hard evidence,” Morgan said of Trump’s claims as the former president attempted to interject.

“I don’t think you’re real,” the former president said to Morgan, later turning to the production crew and calling his interviewer “very dishonest.”

The preview clip ended with Trump getting out of his seat and ordering production to “turn the camera off.”

“Very dishonest,” he added while walking away.

Morgan disclosed in a Thursday piece for The Post that he also informed the former president that he blamed Trump’s stubbornness to concede defeat for the deadly Capital riot on Jan. 6, 2021.

“Then you’re a fool! According to Morgan, Trump answered, “And you haven’t studied.”

Morgan recalled Trump referring to him as a fool six other times during the interview, as well as referring to Senate Minority Leader Mitch McConnell (R-Ky.) as “stupid” and his own vice president, Mike Pence, as “foolish and weak.”

Trump attempted to stop the interview by exclaiming “That’s it!” but remained seated to discuss a recent hole-in-one he scored while golfing. Following that talk, the former president rose to his feet with a “hateful” look on his face and directed the crew members to switch off the cameras.

Morgan’s new show “Piers Morgan Uncensored” is scheduled to premiere on April 25. Every weeknight, the program will air on networks worldwide, including Fox Nation, Talk TV in the United Kingdom, and Sky News Australia.
