Lahore authorities on Wednesday advised ex-prime minister Imran Khan to address tomorrow’s public rally virtually amid security threats.
In this regard, the Lahore deputy commissioner has penned a letter to the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) leadership regarding the security threats ahead of tomorrow’s public rally at Minar-e-Pakistan.
The PTI is all set to stage a public rally in the provincial capital after two power shows in Peshawar and Karachi.
Earlier on Tuesday, PTI Chairman Imran Khan had urged the people through a video message to participate in the Minar-e-Pakistan rally on Thursday if they want an independent Pakistan.
He said that Minar-e-Pakistan was the same place where the Pakistan Resolution was passed in 1940 and the Muslims of India decided to live in an independent country called Pakistan.
Imran Khan had urged the people from all social classes to show up in the rally and prove that they are against the foreign-imposed government.

The ex-interior minister Sheikh Rashid had also expressed serious concerns about the security threats to Imran Khan.
Notably, Imran Khan had accused the US of an alleged conspiracy to topple his government as he was not serving their interests.
Rashid had expressed fear that the foreign powers could assassinate Imran Khan.
