Amir Khan claims he was robbed at gunpoint while out in London with his wife Faryal Makhdoom on Monday.

Khan posted on Twitter, “Just had my watch snatched off me at gunpoint in East London, Leyton.”
“Faryal was a few steps behind me when we crossed the street. Two guys approached me, one of them demanded my watch while pointing a revolver at my head. The most important thing is that we’re both safe.”
The Metropolitan Police said in a statement that they were summoned to Leyton in east London just after 9 p.m. on Monday.
“A guy in his 30s was approached by two individuals who threatened him with a weapon before snatching his watch and escaping,” according to the statement.
“No bullets were fired, and no casualties were reported.” Police were sent and performed a search of the surrounding area. “At this early point, no arrests have been made.” “An investigation has been launched, and authorities are investigating a variety of leads.”
Khan’s last fight was in February, when he was stopped by Kell Brook in Manchester.
Khan, now 35, earned Olympic silver for Great Britain as a 17-year-old in 2004 and was named world champion as a professional in 2009 after earning the WBA light-welterweight championship.
