Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) on Tuesday said one terrorist was killed in a fire exchange in North Waziristan District.
The military media wing said the fire exchange took place between security forces and terrorists in the general area of Datta Khel, North Waziristan District.
The statement said, “During intense exchange of fire, terrorist Fareed Ahmed got killed.”
ISPR said weapons and ammunition were also recovered from the killed terrorist who remained actively involved in terrorist activities against security forces.
The locals of the area appreciated the operation and expressed their full support to eliminate the menace of terrorism from the area.
On Sunday, two Tehreek-e-Taliban Pakistan (TTP) terrorists were killed by security forces in a joint operation in Dera Ismail Khan (DIK), Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.

Weapons and ammunition were also recovered from the killed terrorists, who were identified as Khalil and Ahsan aka Deva.
The security forces said that Khalil was an expert of producing suicide jacks and making landmines. The slain terrorists were involved in the martyrdom of five policemen on April 11, attacks on anti-polio teams and extortion.
