Regardless of the alteration in international landscape, China continues to strengthen strategic cooperation with Russia, China’s Foreign Ministry stated on Tuesday.
China’s Vice Foreign Minister Le Yucheng expressed this vision to the Russian ambassador to China Andrey Denisov during a meeting on Monday.
Le said, “No matter how the international landscape may change, China will continue to strengthen strategic coordination with Russia to achieve win-win cooperation, jointly safeguard our common interests and promote the building of a new type of international relations and a community with a shared future for mankind.”
Le chew over 30% growth in commerce between the two countries in the first quarter of this year, reaching roughly $38.2 billion, as evidence of the bilateral cooperation’s resiliency.
They also discussed Ukrainian issue, as well as other international issues of concern.
Earlier, Chinese officials have played neutral on the war in Ukraine, they neither condemned nor condoned Russia’s actions.
Before the invasion, both the countries pronounced their boundless relationship.
