A YOUNG lady was drenched in gasoline and dragged through a fire while sleeping on the street.
Mairead Soledad was assaulted while living with her dog Solo, and she is now looking for the individuals who protected her.

Fortunately for Mairead, during the incident two years ago in Hove, East Sussex, a mother named Sherrie and her daughter were driving by.
In a social media appeal, Mairead said: “When I was on the street, I was doused in gasoline and dragged through a fire.
“A lady and her child were driving by and came to my rescue. They brought me to their house and fed and bathed me.
“They then assisted me in getting into a hostel and receiving support, which is how I was able to get off the streets.”
“It’s been over two years since I was placed in housing, and I’ve been hoping to track down those folks who truly saved my life.”
“All I want to do is thank them and let them know that I’m still alive and well.”
Mairead claims to be living proof that no matter how awful things are in life, anyone can make something of themselves if they keep battling.
“I couldn’t be happier or more grateful!” she stated after hunting down the folks who saved her life. I’m hoping to visit them soon to express my gratitude.”
Mairead went on to say that life on the street is a different world and that she has gone through some frightening experiences.
“I’d given up hope after my second winter in a tent,” she added. It’s insane that I’m in this situation.
“All I want to do is take any silver linings I can find and give back where I can.”
“I’m motivated to assist people who are still trapped in that horror.”
