On Easter Sunday, passengers at Boston Logan International Airport experienced uncertainty, panic, and delays when a suspicious package prompted an evacuation and a visit from the state police bomb squad.

Massachusetts State Police said in a statement Sunday that their bomb squad was dispatched to Terminal A shortly after 4 p.m. after security personnel discovered a suspicious object in a bag during a check-bag inspection.

Hundreds of people can be seen exiting the terminal in a video published on social media, as an airport employee’s voice instructs everyone to go through a security checkpoint to be rescreened by Transportation Security Administration officers.

“You must depart, this is imperative,” the guy can be heard saying, instructing airport personnel to do the same.
According to NBC Boston, one passenger characterised the scene as panic, with passengers fleeing and leaving their possessions behind. During the chaos, he says he saw one man fall down.

Nico Pisello remarked, “Right out of nowhere, I saw the entire throng, people yelling and screaming like it was out of a movie.” “No one has any idea what is going on.”
