Putin is humiliated once more as Ukraine destroys the Russian army’s “backbone” – WATCH

Today, Russian soldiers were humiliated when a Ukrainian troop carrier defeated a “more stronger” Russian T-72 tank. The event in Donetsk was filmed with spectacular aerial drone footage and then posted on social media. The failure is Russia’s latest military humiliation, as the country increasingly focuses on conquering the Donbas area in eastern Ukraine.

The video also suggests that Russia will face fierce resistance in its new, more limited aim of pushing forces eastward.

Russia intends to forge a strategic corridor between Crimea and its own territory via the Donbas.

The drone footage shows the moment the infantry transport BTR-4 took aim with its 30mm cannon.

The immense Russian battle tank was destroyed despite having cannons more than four times the size of the Ukrainian BTR-4.

By the conclusion of the video, the tank has burst into flames after being hit by many Ukrainian rounds.

Despite Russia’s continued possession of heavier and more powerful military equipment, Ukrainian BTR-4s are believed to have destroyed at least four Russian tanks so far.

The Russian T-72 tank was dubbed the “backbone of Russia’s army” by analysts on 19fortyfive, a group run by US national security professionals, last year.

“It shouldn’t be possible, but it’s not the first time we see it during this conflict,” Visegrád 24, a social media account that has filmed the fighting, tweeted the video, adding, “It shouldn’t be possible, but it’s not the first time we see it during this war.”

“The Ukrainian soldiers are bold and very skilled.”

The tank’s loss came after Russian President Vladimir Putin suffered his most significant military setback to date.

Since Britain sunk the Belgrano during the Falklands War in 1982, the sinking of the Moskva is the largest loss of a warship in action.

According to the administration in Kyiv, the boat’s ammo deck detonated after being struck by two Neptune anti-ship missiles.

Russia, on the other hand, claims the ship sank due to a fire on board.

Since then, US defence sources have backed Kyiv’s account of events, with a senior Pentagon official calling the incident a “major setback” for Moscow.
