The oath-taking ceremony of the federal cabinet of Shehbaz Sharif’s government will be held tomorrow, Bol News reported on Monday.
The ceremony will take place at the President House at 11am. Senate Chairman Sadiq Sanjrani will administer the oath to the new cabinet members after President Dr Arif Alvi had excused himself from performing the procedure.
Earlier in the day, President Dr Arif Alvi, who is a member of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI), had excused himself from taking oath from the federal cabinet. Notably, President Arif Alvi had gone on short leave due to illness and did not take oath from the newly-elected Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif.
The size of the cabinet will be 36 members in the initial phase, and it is expected that all parties in the Pakistan Democratic Alliance (PDM) will get a share.
