President Arif Alvi has excused himself from taking oath from the federal cabinet of the Pakistan Democratic Government (PDM).
In his unavailability, Senate Chairman Sadiq Sanjrani will administer the oath to the new cabinet members.
Notably, President Arif Alvi had gone on short leave due to illness and did not take oath from the newly-elected Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif.

Further, it has been learnt that MQM-P and BNP-Mengal will not become part of the government now.
Earlier, PML-N leader Marriyum Aurangzeb said the federal cabinet is expected to be announced tonight.
Talking to the media in Islamabad, she said all allies of the government will have representation in ministries.
She said long consultations were made to decide the ministerial portfolios.
Marriyum Aurangzeb said the verdict of the foreign funding case against PTI will expose the truth. She accused that fabricated twitter trends are being run against the government by PTI workers.
The PML-N leader said the government believes in freedom of expression and the ministry of information will protect the state’s interest.
