New Zealand: Women’s rugby Head Coach resigns

Glenn Moore, the head coach of the New Zealand women’s team, has resigned after allegations against him prompted a team culture assessment.

Hooker Te Kura Ngata-Aerengamate said in a social media post that Moore’s negative comments caused him to have a nervous breakdown.

Moore said in a retirement letter, “I did not agree with the claims she made, and they were deceptive.”

In 2015, he was named coach of the Black Ferns, and he helped them win the 2017 World Cup.

Moore had previously been encouraged by New Zealand rugby chief executive Mark Robinson to stay in his position for the World Cup in October.

Robinson, on the other hand, apologized to elite players earlier this week after the study found that the governing body had failed to adequately support the women’s high performance program.

“Everything must be focused on maximizing performance,” Moore said in a statement.

“I believe that stepping aside is in the best interests of the team.”
