Putin is humiliated once more as Ukraine destroys the “backbone of the Russian army.”

Today, Russian soldiers were humiliated as a Ukrainian troop carrier defeated a “more stronger” Russian T-72 tank. The event in Donetsk was recorded on spectacular overhead drone footage and posted on social media. The defeat is Russia’s latest military humiliation as it focuses its efforts on conquering the Donbas area in Ukraine’s east.

The film also implies that Russia will find stiff opposition in its new, more restricted goal of deploying forces eastward.

Russia plans to use the Donbas to create a strategic corridor between Crimea and its own territory.

The drone film captures the infantry transport BTR-4 taking aim with its 30mm weapon.

Despite possessing guns four times the size of the Ukrainian BTR-4, the massive Russian battle tank was destroyed.

After being battered by many Ukrainian rounds, the tank explodes into flames by the end of the film.

While Russia has heavier and more powerful military equipment, it is believed that Ukrainian BTR-4s have destroyed at least four Russian tanks so far.

Last year, analysts on 19fortyfive, led by US national security professionals, referred to the Russian T-72 tank as the “backbone of Russia’s army.”

Visegrád 24, a social media account that has covered the fight, tweeted the footage, adding, “It shouldn’t be possible, but it’s not the first time we witness it during this war.”

“The Ukrainian soldiers are bold and incredibly adept.”

The tank’s loss comes on the heels of Russian President Vladimir Putin’s most dramatic defeat of the conflict, the loss of his Black Sea navy flagship, the Moskva.

The Moskva’s demise is the worst loss of a combat battleship since Britain sunk the Belgrano during the Falkland War in 1982.

According to the Ukrainian government, the boat’s ammo deck detonated after being struck by two Neptune anti-ship missiles.

Russia, on the other hand, claims the ship sank due to a fire on board.

Since then, US defence officials have backed Kiev’s account of events, with a senior Pentagon official describing the incident as a “huge hit” for Moscow.

Anton Kuprin, the commander of the Russian vessel, was among those slain in the attack.
