Khloe Kardashian stated that Tristan Thompson is ‘determined’ to revive their romance, but she has misgivings given his numerous cheating scandals.

He was discovered cheating on Khloe only days before she gave birth to their first child together in 2018, and a paternity test just revealed that he had fathered a child with fitness model Maralee Nichols.

Khloe, 37, addressed the status of her relationship with Tristan, 31, whom she has dated on and off since 2016, on Thursday’s premiere episode of The Kardashians.

In a confessional, Khloe Kardashian said there was ‘no tension’ between them, but that they ‘get along really well’ and see each other a few times a week as co-parents of four-year-old True.

She said: ‘If Tristan had his way he would completely be together, I just need a bit of breathing room and time to think…

‘Tristan is very determined on us getting back together, he goes to therapy quite often, a couple times a week and we now even do couples therapy together.’

Turning to her on/off boyfriend she said: ‘You need to stay on your personal health and wellbeing, whether it be mind body or soul.’

Khloe then detailed the moment she found James was cheating on her when she was pregnant, calling their relationship a “grey area,” saying: ‘If I wasn’t pregnant, I would have f***”d you up so… I just didn’t wanna break my nails before delivery.’

She added in the confessional: ‘Every day he tries to show me and prove to me that he’s a different person and I should have faith and trust him, but we’ve been through so much together that I have a lot of reservations.

Tristan then lay his cards out out on the table as he said to her: ‘You know I want to get us back together and build our family and hopefully be able to expand our family, God willing.’

‘It’s a lot of strain on a relationship. Trust takes times,’ Khloe Kardashian responded.

The scenes surfaced when it was announced that Kim, Khloe’s older sister, had been served with a paternity suit after revealing to her that Tristan was her father.

Kim conveyed the news to her as she was on camera for their new reality show The Kardashians, which made the situation even more awkward.

In an interview with USA Today, she said that learning of Tristan’s newest affair when cameras were filming her every step was “hard.”

Maralee Nichols filed a paternity lawsuit against the NBA player in December, according to the circumstances of the paternity case.

She also filed a motion to include text messages between herself and Tristan as evidence in her paternity case.

The texts are said to demonstrate that the pro athlete wanted her to terminate the pregnancy, that he had no plans to be engaged in the child’s life, and that he attempted to pay her hush money.

Tristan had requested a gag order, claiming that Maralee’s ‘intention all along [was] to try to achieve some sort of notoriety and gain for herself in this lawsuit’ by accusing him of fathering a third kid.

However, paternity test results confirmed that Tristan was the child’s biological father the next month, and he wrote on Instagram on January 3: ‘Today paternity test results reveal that I fathered a child with Maralee Nichols. I take full responsibility for my actions.

‘Now that paternity has been established, I look forward to amicably raising our son. I sincerely apologize to everyone I’ve hurt or disappointed throughout this ordeal both publicly and privately.’

Tristan then addressed the Keeping Up With The Kardashians star, whom he began dating in 2016, personally.

He wrote: ‘Khloe, you don’t deserve this. You don’t deserve the heartache and humiliation I have caused you. You don’t deserve the way I have treated you over the years.

‘My actions have certainly not lined up with the way I view you. I have the utmost respect and love for you. Regardless of what you may think. Again, I am so incredibly sorry,’ his statement read.

Despite the fact that Khloe Kardashian is still emotional when recalling that awful day, she confessed that she is unsure about the presence of the cameras because they are constantly around her and her family.

‘I don’t really remember being filmed, I’m so immune to it,’ she told USA Today.

But it was especially ‘hard’ to recall when she learned of the adultery event that appeared to have permanently ruined her relationship with her former lover.

‘I think that was hard for me too,’ Kim added in the interview.

‘Déjà vu,’ Khloé said of learning of another cheating incident. ‘I think the first time it was either Kendall or Kylie that called me. Now it’s good old Kim.’

The Revenge Body star added that the pain from betrayal ‘doesn’t get easier,’ though she said ‘you do become more numb’ over time.

‘When you’re hurt so many times — your reactions, your responses to the same thing happening over and over again — there is a numbing sensation to it,’ she said, adding, ‘It almost becomes normal, when it should absolutely never become normal.’

Her mother, Kris Jenner, who was also there during the interview, noted that the betrayal had left the entire family shaken.

She said that revelations like that ‘are a bit shocking, but you’re not really focused on the filming of it at all until you watch it back.’

Video and photographs of Tristan hugging a club worker and taking her up to his hotel room in New York City surfaced in 2018, just days before Khloe Kardashian gave birth to her and Tristan’s baby True.

Tristan hugged Kylie Jenner’s then-BFF Jordyn Woods, and the relationship survived the storm, but they split in 2019.

The couple patched up their differences and planned to rejoin in the summer of 2020 while spending time together during the early days of the current coronavirus pandemic, but they broke up again in June of last year.
