Volunteers have created more than 500 camouflage nets for the Ukrainian military, after gathering in a library, that collectively stretch over 32,000 square feet.
The central marketplace in Lviv has become a flurry of activity since Russia invaded Ukrainian regions. Air alarms ring out at random times and there is a tension in the air at all time. People are filled with a mix of fear and patriotism.
Amidst all this, in a youth library, volunteers come together to create camouflage nets for Ukrainian soldiers on the front lines.

Nataliia Tymovska, a 27-year-old IT professional who fled from Kyiv to Lviv in February said, “I was searching for something I could do to help. While I have a job, I work, I pay taxes, that’s not enough in wartime.”
Nataliia also added, “I’m not ready to take a weapon — at least not now, and no one knows what will happen next — but I am healthy, I have two legs, two hands, and I must do something for a Ukrainian victory. It’s my country, and who else should do it instead of me?”
In a library, where locals still borrow books, Ukrainian volunteers have collectively created more than 500 nets that stretch over 32,000 square feet.
