Salman Rafique, Hafiz Noman arrested for army officer torture case

Khawaja Salman Rafique and Hafiz Noman, who belong to Pakistan Muslim League Nawaz (PML-N) have been arrested for the army officer torture case, Bol TV reported on Thursday.

PML-N’s leaders Khawaja Salman Rafique and Hafiz Noman surrendered to the police after they were nominated by the complainant in the army officer torture case.

The complaint stated that he had been subjected to torture over the directions of Rafique and Noman who are sitting in another vehicle at the crime scene. He added that their employees could not torture him without getting the go-ahead from the accused political leaders.

Earlier,  Lahore Police on Thursday booked two suspects charged with assaulting an army officer after an alleged road rage incident.

Talking outside the police station, Pakistan Muslim League – Nawaz (PML-N) leader Salman Rafique claimed they handed over their staff members and vehicle to the police as a responsible citizen.

PML-N leader said he was driving the car with Hafiz Salman and later found out that one of the vehicles of their staff was missing when they reached home.

He added that the PA told them over the telephone that the windscreen of that vehicle was shattered as a result of road rage. “When the staffers tried to note down the vehicle’s registration number, it tried to run over them,” Salman quoted the PA.
