Brazil: Juraj Tuzinsky and Zorana Arunovic won gold medals at ISSF World Cup

In Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, the ISSF World Cup Rifle/Pistol continues. European athletes won all six medals in two events today.

Juraj Tuzinsky of Slovakia, a silver medalist at the European Championships in 2022, won the 10m Air Pistol Men event. His opponent in the race for first place, at the recent European Championship in Norway, was Germany’s Robin Walter, the winner of that competition. Walter was second this time. Christian Reitz of Germany, a World Cup medalist, finished third in this competition.

Zorana Arunovic of Serbia, a World Cup champion and medalist, won gold in the 10m Air Pistol Women’s event. Anna Korakaki of Greece, who won Silver at the 2016 Olympic Games, came in second. Camille Jedrzejewski, a 19-year-old Frenchwoman, won her first World Cup medal, a bronze, in the final.

Athletes will compete in the finals of the 10 meter events in the Mixed Team and Team categories tomorrow.
