Rihanna fears postpartum depression

Postpartum depression is common in new mothers, as every 1 out of 8 woman has to experience it.

Rihanna is expecting her first baby with rapper A$AP Rocky. She has reached in the third trimester of her pregnancy.

The ‘Umbrella’ singer is not scared of the childbirth, rather she is worried about the postpartum depression, as she is hearing from other mothers.

She was asked regarding the fears of childbirth, to which she replied, “Will I no longer have control over my emotions? I have heard such stories from other women and it scares me.”

She has heard terrifying stories from people, and she is now afraid that she might lose control of her emotions after the birth.

Rihanna spoke in an interview for Vogue magazine that she did not plan the birth, neither was she against it. Adding, “We just had fun. Then I saw the test result. I wasted no time. I called him and showed him. Then the next morning I went to the doctor’s office and that’s how our story began.”

She said that here friends and family might not join her child’s birth, due to COVID restrictions. Yet, she wished that they are present in a bus, beside the hospital.

She also wants to continue her business after birth as well, because boosting balance is one of the biggest challenges in life, and there will sooner be an addition to the family. She says, “However, I have businesses that will not run on their own. My mother and my brothers did not have the resources I have, so I will definitely cope. How will it be? I’m not sure. ”

The artist is wearing tops lately that show her abdomen. She is proud of her body changes, as she say, “I hope we can redefine the term decent for pregnant women. My body is doing incredible things now and I’m not ashamed of it.”

The artist added that she is finding it interesting to dress up in such condition, and she is not leaving that part because of her body-changes.
