President David Malpass said Tuesday that the World Bank is working on a nearly $1.5 billion package to help Ukraine’s most important government services. This brings the bank’s total aid to more than $2.4 billion.
“The attacks on people and infrastructure are causing tremendous suffering, threatening international peace and security, and endangering the basic social and economic needs of people around the world,” Mr. Malpass said in a speech about current challenges to global growth and security.
