The PTI lawyer forum met former Prime Minister Imran Khan in the chair on Tuesday and discussed the rising situation. They demanded the authorities concerned to stop the illegal act at once.

Asad Umar in a tweet statement has said that the petition challenging the harassment of PTI social media activists has been finalised and will be filed in high courts tomorrow morning.

Earlier, the Cyber Crime Wing of the Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) on Tuesday launched a countrywide crackdown against all those people who have been involved in ridiculing powerful individuals and state institutions including Pakistan Army and Supreme Court through running malicious campaigns and trends on social media, Bol News has learned.

According to sources in the FIA, the crackdown was launched on the night of Saturday (April 9) soon after the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) government led by Prime Minister Imran Khan had lost the vote of a no-confidence motion in the National Assembly.

Former focal person of Imran Khan on digital media Dr. Arsalan Khalid was the first person whose residence was raided by the law enforcement agencies. They had recovered mobile phones and other equipment which remained in his use.

Dr Arsalan escaped arrest as he was not present at the house when the raid was conducted.
