Imran Khan presides over crucial meeting of Parliamentary Party after ouster

ISLAMABAD: Former Prime Minister Imran Khan is presiding over the meeting of Pakistan Tehreek-e-(PTI) Insaf’s parliamentary party at Parliament House in Islamabad ahead of the National Assembly session for the election of the next Prime Minister.

PTI members chanted chants in support of their leader as he arrived.

Khan also responded to a journalist’s question about the PTI’s tremendous power show on Sunday night by saying,”Izzat dene wala Allah hai (it is Allah who gives respect).”

On Sunday, tens of thousands of PTI supporters flocked to the streets across Pakistan to protest Imran Khan’s ouster from office.

Imran Khan took to Twitter has thanked the masses for their support and for taking to the streets against the regime change.

He wrote, “Thank you to all Pakistanis for their amazing outpouring of support & emotions to protest against US-backed regime change abetted by local Mir Jafars to bring into power a coterie of pliable crooks all out on bail. Shows Pakistanis at home & abroad have emphatically rejected this”
