With a moving online tribute, the Royal Family has marked the one-year anniversary of Prince Philip’s death, on Saturday, April 9.

The Royal Family has published a poem that captures many aspects of Prince Philip’s life as they commemorate the one-year anniversary of his passing.
The Patriarchs – An Elegy is a beautiful poem read by the poet laureate himself and put to piano music.
The elegy was composed by poet laureate Simon Armitage and disseminated across several official Royal Family social media platforms.
His comments are brought to life by a montage of photographs from the Duke of Edinburgh’s extraordinary life, including images that reflect both the enormity of his role in world history.
It also included, more private family events, such as his wedding day and the births of his four children.
Fans and followers of the late prince remembered him, one of them utters, “These words are as multifaceted and powerful as the man himself. May God continue to bless you as you successfully navigate through these years.”
Another stated, “Lovely poem…and great pictures. He was such a handsome young man. You can see the love he and the Queen had for each other in their eyes. RIP Prince Philip.”
One person commented a realistic approach to life, “Time doesn’t heal anything, it just teaches us how to live with the pain.”
