Prince Harry and Meghan skipped Prince Philip’s memorial, in order to avoid insignificance

Prince Harry and Meghan skipped Prince Philip’s memorial, in order to avoid insignificance

Prince Harry and Meghan Markle have been chastised for leaving the UK to compete in the undefeated Games in the Netherlands.

The Duke and Duchess of Sussex have lost popular respect, according to royal editor Russell Myers, by ignoring the royal family at the Prince Philip memorial.

He wrote, “Harry and Meghan’s decision to travel to The Hague for the Invictus Games has “raised eyebrows” among the royal family, amid the Duke of Sussex’s claim he cannot travel to the UK with Meghan or their children as it is “too dangerous”.”

Harry has denied visiting the United Kingdom for ‘security’ grounds, stating that he does not feel safe bringing his wife and children there.

“It is more of a risk to go to Holland to support a charity with a military link than coming to London last week,” says Ken Wharfe, a former royal protection officer.

Netizens have to give their side of the story as a user says, “Meghan & Harry skipped the memorial [because] they would’ve been small fish in a big sea of monarchs & royalty.”

Another contributes to the discussion, saying, “Harry & Meghan are using Invictus veterans to make a reality TV show about themselves. How utterly self-absorbed,”
