Princess Anne, the only daughter of British Queen Elizabeth, travelled to Australia with her husband Vice Admiral Sir Tim Laurence to open the royal Sydney Easter Show.
They were welcomed by Governor of New South Wales Margaret Beazley there.
Buckingham palace stated that she opened the show on the first day of her visit.
The Royal Agricultural Society of New South Wales, conducts the show annually. They bring the regional communities to display their skills, crafts and abilities.
The palace’s official account tweeted that she wanted to witness and learn about the challenges faced by the deprived, after drought and flood.
