After a difficult three rounds against Tecia Torres, World Champion combatant, Mackenzie Dern had her hand raised via split-decision on Saturday.

Torres remained relentless with her kicking, landing 32 leg strikes in total and seizing the lead in total strikes landed with 76, compared to 50 for Dern.
Dern’s wrestling really shined in the second round, when she jumped guard and locked up a superb kimura with Torres’ arm completely behind her back.
Dern couldn’t achieve the correct angle for the endgame, but she was able to keep a clinch, move to the legs, and almost finish a knee bar and toe hold while in the position.
Despite not being able to get the tap, she tried to keep control of the ground for the most of the time.
Some wrestlers contradicted the victory going in her favor. They tweeted against the decision.
