Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) on Sunday announced resignations starting with the national assembly (NA) if the nomination papers of the joint opposition’s candidate, Shehbaz Sharif, for prime minister office are not rejected.
Speaking to the media in Islamabad, PTI leader Fawad Chaudhry said the party’s core committee is convinced that the government is ousted through a foreign conspiracy.

Fawad said they are contesting the prime minister’s election to challenge the nomination papers of Shehbaz Sharif, who is to be indicted in a money laundering case on the election day.
He added that PTI will start giving resignations starting with the NA if the nomination papers of Shehbaz Sharif are not rejected.
He said that Pakistan is back to square one and the nation needs to struggle for freedom again.

He claimed that the whole nation wants to seek guidance from Imran Khan against the foreign-imposed government and appealed to the people to stage demonstrations after Isha prayers today on Khan’s call.
He said whoever pushed Pakistan into this crisis did enmity with the state, adding that the decision of the apex court only deepened the crisis. Fawad claimed that there is no solution to the [ongoing] crisis except general elections.
The way courts open at night is something that the nation loathed, and the people are expressing it on social media.
He said until the squalid government is thrown out, none of Pakistan’s institutions will achieve sanctity.
