After going missing on a diving trip in Malaysia, a British man’s teenage son is presumed dead.
Adrian Chesters, a British father, told the coastguard that his son Nathen had become too weak and died while diving.
They were participating in a group dive off the coast of Mersing, in Johor’s southern state.
Local fishermen saw French national Alexia Molina, 18, and Mr Chesters roughly 50 miles south of where they went missing on Wednesday.
After being transferred to the hospital by the marine authorities, they were both confirmed to be in stable condition, according to police.
Kristine Grodem, 35, a Norwegian diving instructor, had previously been rescued.
The search for the teenager’s body is anticipated to continue by Indonesian authorities.
