During a recent interview, television actor Ankit Siwach discussed his casting couch experience. The actor, who is from Meerut, Uttar Pradesh, talked about how stepping out of his hometown during his tough times was a culture shock for him. Ankit Siwach revealed disturbing revelations, revealing that there were times when he was asked to provide images of himself without clothes.

“I used to believe that everyone is a wonderful person. However, this becomes your weakness, and anyone can exploit you. You may believe that everyone has demons and that you can ignore them, but those demons simply gnaw at you and throw you out. And I’ve had to deal with that while modelling. I’ve been asked to send images sans clothes on occasion. I was invited to gatherings that had nothing to do with my job. “I was practically harassed since I wasn’t expecting it,” the actor explained.

Ankit Siwach further told even though no one forced me into it. “I was forced emotionally and made to believe it (compromising) is the only way to make it happen. After coming to Mumbai, it didn’t happen,” he shared.

“I’ve faced a lot of proposals, and hints and people have also been direct, in terms of compromising if not for work then to make a career. I’ve been given examples of several actors. ‘You think you can make it big without compromising,’ is what many say. Nobody forces anyone,” the actor added.

Ankit Siwach also told there was a time he almost quit because of the not so good experiences in the industry during his struggling days. “When you get to see people who are standing there like vultures – they want to eat you up, you tend to break down, you want to quit and go back,” he said.
