The Russian Grand Prix is anticipated to be cancelled, while Singapore looks forward to taking over and hosting the F1 race once again in September.

F1 has proclaimed the cancellation of the event, beholding the situation of Russia’s invasion of Ukraine, which was originally scheduled to be held on 25th September in Sochi. They have put an end to the contract for Grand Prix.
The initial 23-race calendar that F1 was looking to fill a void with a return to Qatar. Previous year, the first grand prix in Qatar was hosted at Losail International Circuit.
The deal for conducting a 10-year grand prix has been signed by Qatar, starting from the year 2023. This year they have prepared to host the FIFA world cup, for the first time. The cancellation of Russian GP, has allowed Singapore and Japan to host the event and embrace the privilege.
Qatar has decided to pursue distinctive options, including running two races in Singapore. The idea has been discussed with the promoters in Singapore that Marina Bay Street Circuit could possibly run two races a single day, at slightly different times, starting one at dusk, and the next one at 8pm, the traditional time for a night race.
The COVID 19 pandemic has obstructed Singapore to host F1 race, for consecutive two years, but the venture has restored, as F1 is planned to be scheduled on the weekends of October.
Qatar has concerns regarding heat, as the replacement has a round of heat that is 38 degrees, during the day. They fear the comfort of the audience, as the month of September caters a hot weather there. Yet, the concerns are being negotiated, as the event is stated to begin 15 minutes after the sunset. Furthermore, the world cup, later in November, will examine and stimulate the enthusiasm for the major event arriving next year.
