“You’re a disgrace,” Kelly, the leader of the United Australia Party (centre-right), retorted.

Victoria Police confirmed they were looking into it via local media.

On local radio, the head of the United Australia Party stated that he intends to bring charges. “If someone is able to get away with this act, no member of parliament can walk through the streets of any of our major capital cities freely without the concern about being attacked in such a way,” he said.
