Russians burnt swastikas into victims’ bodies and raped girls as young as ten, according to allegations

According to Ukrainian police, Russian soldiers have raped girls as young as 10 and torn out Ukrainians’ tongues while also burning swastikas into their victims’ bodies.

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky informed the United Nations Security Council that the Russians had perpetrated “the most horrendous war crimes” since World War II, accusing the invaders of terrorising Ukrainians “for their own amusement.”

“They slaughtered entire families — adults and children — and tried to burn the remains,” Zelensky claimed in a video address delivered on Tuesday. “I am writing to you on behalf of the folks who remember the departed every day.”

He described Russian soldiers targeting citizens in their cars, on the street, and even in their own houses.

“Some of them were shot in the streets, while others were pushed into wells, where they perished in agony.” They were murdered at their residences and homes. “Civilians were destroyed by tanks while sitting in their automobiles in the middle of the road – solely for their entertainment,” he said.

In addition, he alleged that the extremists raped and murdered Ukrainian women in front of their relatives.

“They severed limbs and slit their throats… “Their tongues were only ripped out because the attacker didn’t hear what they wanted to hear from them,” he explained.

“This is no different from other terrorists, such as Daesh,” Zelensky added, referring to ISIS by another name. “A member of the United Nations Security Council does it here.”

Zelensky concluded his speech with a gruesome film montage of the bodies of Ukrainian people at Irpin and Bucha on the outskirts of Kyiv, Dymerka outside of Chernihiv, and Mariupol, the harbour city.

Some of the dead were buried in mass graves, while others were just sprawled on the street or had presumably fallen from adjacent bicycles, according to the distressing film. Some were burnt or mutilated, while others showed apparent wounds.

“Speaking in my national role, we are shocked by what we have witnessed and restate our sympathy with Ukraine,” the UK’s ambassador to the UN and president of the Security Council, Barbara Woodward, said in response.

Zelensky’s speech came amid claims of further crimes as Russian forces retreat from Ukraine’s north, including allegations that Russian soldiers raped girls as young as 10 and burnt swastikas into their victims’ bodies.

“Russian forces plunder, rape, and kill,” asserted Lesia Vasylenko, a Ukrainian parliamentarian who has accused Russia of genocide.

“Children were discovered with their wrists bound and shot to death.” “[Russian] soldiers killed them because they could!” tweeted the Kyiv-based lawmaker in the midst of allegations of hundreds slaughtered in the capital’s outskirts.

Vasylenko stated that “ten-year-old girls” were discovered with “vaginal and rectal rips” after being raped, and deceased women were discovered with “swastika shaped burns.”
