During the hearing, CJP Bandial remarked that they would try to pronounce the verdict tomorrow (Wednesday) while adding that the court cannot interfere in the proceedings of the parliament.
CJP said they only have to keep an eye on the law and constitution, and it cannot perform the task to dig out the state’s policy. “The real case is to find out the legality of the [national assembly] speaker’s ruling,” he added.
Justice Munib Akhtar said the constitution is silent over the method of no-confidence.

The apex court also sought the record of National Assembly (NA) proceedings conducted on the no-confidence motion filed against Prime Minister Imran Khan.
The apex court had taken notice of the political turmoil after Prime Minister Imran Khan dissolved the NA on Sunday.
The Supreme Court previously rejected a request to suspend NA Deputy Speaker Qasim Suri’s ruling regarding the no-confidence motion. However, CJP had remarked that a reasonable order would be issued.
The apex court, during the hearing, rejected a plea by Farooq H Naek, who is representing the Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) and other opposition parties, to form a full-court bench to hear the matter.
